SBI Clerk Notification 2023: 8 Key Highlights of the Fresh Recruitment Drive for 8283 Clerk Positions in State Bank of India

SBI Clerk Vacancy 2023: State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest bank, has issued a notification for recruitment to the posts of Junior Associate in clerical cadre. A total of 8283 vacancies have been released.

SBI Clerk Notification 2023: Country’s largest banks: 

State Bank of India (SBI) in Clerical Cadre notification for recruitment to the posts of Junior Associate has been released. A total of 8283 vacancies have been released. Among the vacant posts, 3515 are unreserved. 1284 SC, 748 ST,1919 are reserved for OBC and 817 for EWS category.

The online application process will start tomorrow from 17th November 2023. Interested candidates can visit sbi.co.in and apply till 7th December. According to the notification, SBI Clerk Tier-1 exam will be held in January 2024 and main exam in February 2024.

1.Where and how many vacancies 

According to the notification, candidates can apply for only one state. Before applying, make sure that you have good knowledge of the local language (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) of the state you are applying for.

2. Qualification:

Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or higher education institution. Final year students can also apply. But make sure that the degree is obtained on or before December 31, 2023.

3. Age Limit – 20 years to 28 years.

Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd April 1995 and not later than 1st April 2003. Age will be calculated from 1st April 2023. SC and ST categories will be given age relaxation of five years and OBC will be given three years.

4. Salary

Rs 17,900 – Rs 47,920. Basic pay Rs 19,900.

6. Exam Structure and Marking Scheme for Preliminary Examination

a. Examination Duration and Question Breakdown:

  • The preliminary examination is set to last for a duration of 1 hour.
  • Within this timeframe, candidates will face a total of 100 objective questions.

b. Section-wise Allocation of Marks:

  • The preliminary exam carries a total of 100 marks.
  • The English language section holds a weightage of 30 marks.
  • Numerical ability and reasoning ability sections each contribute 35 marks.

c. Time Management:

  • With a limited duration of 1 hour for the entire examination, candidates need to efficiently allocate time to each section.
  • Approximately 20 minutes are recommended for solving questions within each section.

d. Negative Marking:

  • As a crucial aspect of the marking scheme, candidates should be mindful of the negative marking policy.
