PM Narendra Modi Flags off Amrit Bharat from Ayodhya on Dec, 30: Discover Why Amrit Bharat is Exceptional!

Amrit Bharat train brings a new tech, Push-Pull, by Indian Railways. It’s special because it’s for everyone – common people and workers. The train offers sleeper and general classes for a comfortable journey.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi started many trains from Ayodhya to connect it with the whole country. Two special trains are Amrit Bharat Express and Vande Bharat Express, connecting Delhi and Ayodhya. Vande Bharat goes through Kanpur and Lucknow, and Amrit Bharat goes to Darbhanga through Gorakhpur. Amrit Bharat is a new train from Indian Railways, like Vande Bharat, with only general and sleeper coaches.

The unique feature of Amrit Bharat train is that, unlike regular sleeper trains, it won’t go faster or have shorter distances between stations, but it will still reach the destination quickly.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav shared details about this special train, the first of its kind in the country. Currently, Indian Railways operates two types of trains: those with engines, including mail and express trains like Shatabdi and Rajdhani, and the second type is Vande Bharat and EMU trains. Amrit Bharat, using the new Push Pull technology, stands out as it caters to common people and workers, offering sleeper and general classes.

Like Vande Bharat, push-pull trains will have strong engines on both sides. The front engine pulls the train, and the rear engine pushes it.

When both engines work together, the train will speed up, maintaining the same pace at which it stops at stations. The train will reach a speed of 130 km per hour. Amrit Bharat train, like Vande Bharat, may have two engines, but it will come with unique features to offer special facilities to passengers.

Specially designed coaches ensure not only a safe journey but also a shock-free experience.

The train will consist of sleeper and general coaches, totaling 22, including 12 sleeper, 8 general, one parcel van, and one brake van (guard van) in each train rake. Amrit Bharat train won’t have a power car; instead, power will come directly from both engines to the coaches, being eco-friendly. The engines won’t need to change direction in the station yard or on the way, making the journey more efficient.
