A 121-foot Masterpiece: The World’s Largest Lord Sita-Ram Painting in Janakpur Dham

An awe-inspiring 121-foot depiction of Lord Sita-Ram, In the sacred city of Janakpur Dham, has emerged, capturing the essence of divinity through the unconventional medium of 101 quintals of assorted grains. Unveiled with grandeur on Vivah Panchami, this monumental artwork, conceived by artist Satish Gurjar and his adept team from Madhya Pradesh, sprawls across 11,111 square feet of the Rangbhoomi Maidan.

Amidst a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by dignitaries, Mayor Manoj Sah and Industrial and Commerce Association President Jitendra Kumar Mahaseth inaugurated what is claimed to be the largest grain-based artwork globally. The grains, sourced from the fertile lands of Harda district in Madhya Pradesh, were meticulously transformed into a captivating masterpiece under the skilled hands of Satish Gurjar and his dedicated team.

A Spectacle of Devotion

As the devotees immersed themselves in the festivities of the wedding celebration, the larger-than-life artistic creation became a focal point of admiration. Simultaneously, preparations for the grand wedding celebration at the Janaki Temple unfolded with regal splendor.

Jitendra Kumar Mahaseth, coordinator of the Art Construction Committee, revealed that an approximate expenditure of INR 13,50,000 was invested in the construction, decoration, and meticulous arrangements. The artwork site was transformed with tents, lights, sound systems, and bamboo boundaries on the expansive Rangbhoomi Maidan, where mats covered 11,111 square feet for the artwork’s construction.

A Symphony of Grains

A diverse array of grains, including rice, wheat, soybean, gram, black gram, chickpeas, pigeon peas, lentils, corn, peanuts, and mung beans, totaling 101 quintals, contributed to the creation of this masterpiece.

Giving Back to the Community

Post the culmination of Vivah Panchami, a benevolent gesture will see 15% of the grains repurposed for donation to a cattle shelter, while the remaining unspoiled grains will find their way to orphanages and elderly care homes, adding a compassionate touch to this extraordinary grainy endeavor.
